Starting is the key.
In every endeavor, hurdles will always come as part of the package. But I guess one of the most excruciating phases is starting.
Many of us would daydream about the most brilliant idea. We love the tingling sensation that comes with planning the next 'big leap' in our lives. Sadly, only a few of us perform. This separates the dreamers from the doers.
Ask yourself, what is stopping you from executing that idea? Most often than not it’s due to the following:
- It’s too hard.
- I don’t have the right skills.
- No one would like the idea.
- I lack the resources.
- I’ll try another time.
- I’m too old / I’m too young.
Whatever that reason may be, you can only validate it when you try. The ultimate key is to start, begin and adjust from there.
You will never know and validate unless you execute it. It’s not going to be easy. Execution will not always go as planned. The reality is you will most likely fail. But you know what? That’s okay!
Starting is key. It doesn’t guarantee success. Although, it secures growth - increments in your knowledge, experience, and most especially, your character.
That is the reason I chose to be a doer. I hope you do too.
